Scaffold Towers

Scaffold towers are freestanding, mobile structures that don’t need to be tied to a building. Built from lightweight components, they’re ideal for short-term work such as window replacements, painting or inspections. Their portability makes them popular for both domestic and commercial applications, and they can be easily moved between locations on-site.

WHERE WE WORK

Independent Scaffolds

An independent scaffold stands adjacent to a building but is supported by its own uprights on both the inner and outer sides. Unlike putlog scaffolds, it doesn’t rely on the building’s structure for support. These systems are often used in construction, cladding and external maintenance where reliable access and load-bearing capacity are needed across the height of a structure.

Birdcage Scaffolds

A birdcage scaffold is a grid-like structure used to create a safe working platform over large horizontal areas, typically indoors. Our scaffolding contractors often install these for ceiling works such as plastering, lighting or internal decoration. With multiple support points and levels, they provide a stable, enclosed working space, especially useful in properties with high ceilings or atriums.

Hanging Scaffolds

Hanging scaffolds are suspended from overhead structures rather than being built from the ground up. This type of system is used when access from below is impossible or impractical, such as over rivers, roads, or in areas with delicate ground conditions. Due to their complexity, hanging scaffolds require specialist design, installation and scaffold inspection, making them suitable only for certain commercial or industrial applications.

Chimney Scaffolds

Chimney scaffolds are purpose-built structures that provide safe access around chimney stacks, usually on pitched roofs. They’re designed to minimise roof disruption while providing a secure working area for chimney repairs, repointing, capping or removal. Because of the elevation and complexity, these scaffolds must be properly designed and secured by experienced scaffolding contractors.
